proCentric is currently in dormant mode. After operating successfully in Australia for over ten years as a process improvement consultancy, we took a break to pursue other opportunities in the USA. We are now working to establish an online community to collaboratively tackle the management challenges in enterprises using complex, evolving technology architectures.

Dr. Louis J. Taborda
Founder of proCentric, Inc.

Louis J. Taborda is a consultant with over twently years of diverse systems/software experience. He has most recently been Chief Technologist for a leading tool-vendor and as a consultant has helped numerous organizations streamline their development processes and improve team productivity. Louis can assist clients with the application of best-practices relating to the planning, development and management of complex IT and software systems. He has a PhD in management, with a BSc (Hons) and Graduate Diplomas in Computer Science and Education.

Louis has recently completed research into management of complex software-intensive systems. This work explored the consequences of elevating Configuration Management (CM) and architecture to the enterprise level exploring the relationships between Enterprise Architecture, Strategy & Planning and Portfolio Management.

His efforts to date has resulted in a collaborative approach for managing the evolution of complex, product and enterprise architectures utilizing a "Release Matrix” which can be considered a generalization of a release plan at the enterprise-level. The Release Matrix has been validated through case studies and is relevant where concurrent change or development initiatives impact a shared enterprise architecture.

This research has application in most IT organizations managing a portfolio of projects as well as traditional software /systems development scenarios where the Release Matrix has been shown to support the coordination of the multiple parallel releases that characterize complex, componentized architectures.
